Manuscripts must be prepared in English and formatted on one side of A4 paper with double spacing and 3 cm margins. Submissions should be made online via the EJS website. After acceptance for publication, no further additions will be permitted.
The manuscript should follow this structure: (i) Title, (ii) Abstract, (iii) Main Body, (iv) Conclusions, (v) References and Footnotes (combined), (vi) Captions for Figures and Tables, (vii) Figures, and (viii) Tables. All pages should be numbered.
Article types:
The Egyptian Journal of Solids accepts research articles, review articles, case reports, and correspondence articles, all managed through the online submission platform, Editorial Manager. The journal welcomes submissions that present scientifically accurate and valuable research, including discoveries, innovative methods, novel approaches, and incremental advancements.
A detailed overview of each article type is provided below.
Full-length research articles present the results of thorough and detailed studies, providing a complete analysis using appropriate scientific methods and leading to clear and innovative conclusions.
Short communications are concise scientific or technical reports that highlight new findings of significant novelty and are limited to a maximum of four printed pages.
Submission of papers:
Papers must be submitted electronically through the journal's website at https://EJS.journals.ekb.eg/. Manuscripts should be written in English and formatted on one side of A4 paper, double-spaced, with 3 cm margins. One author must be designated as the corresponding author, providing complete contact information, including an email address and full postal address. All pages must be numbered.
Manuscript pages should follow this sequence:
(i) Title: The title should be concise, informative, and reflective of the paper's content.
(ii) Authors' Names and Affiliations: Provide the full first and last names of all authors along with their institutional affiliations.
(iii) Abstract: Include a brief abstract of no more than 200 words that highlights the key findings of the study. Define any abbreviations upon their first mention.
(iv) Keywords: Provide up to five keywords in English, avoiding multi-word phrases (e.g., using "and" or "of").
(v) Main Text: The manuscript should consist of the following sections: Introduction, Experimental Procedure, Results and Discussion, Conclusions (or Summary), Appendix (optional), and Tables and Figure captions.
(vi) Conclusions: Summarize the primary findings of the study.
(vii) References and Footnotes (Combined): Include all references and footnotes in a combined section.
(viii) Figure and Table Captions: Submit captions for figures and tables separately.
(ix) Figures and Tables: Upload figures in high-resolution editable formats (e.g., .jpg, .png, .tif) and tables in editable formats (e.g., .xlsx, .csv, .doc).
(x) Highlights (Mandatory): Provide bullet points that summarize the novel results and methods of the research.
(xi) Graphical Abstract (Mandatory): Submit a visual abstract summarizing the article's content in a concise, eye-catching format.
(xii) Supplemental Files (If Applicable): Include raw data, codes, or other relevant materials as supplemental files.
Cover Letter:
Authors are required to include a cover letter with their manuscript submission. The cover letter should provide a brief explanation of how the manuscript represents a significant scientific advancement. This statement will assist the Editor-in-Chief in determining whether the manuscript aligns with the journal's scope. Additionally, authors must confirm that the submitted work has not been published in its entirety elsewhere and is not under consideration for publication by any other journal.
Funding and Financial Interests:
Authors are required to disclose all funding sources related to their research and its publication, or to the publication itself if it does not involve research.
Acknowledgment and Support:
Include acknowledgments in a distinct section at the end of the manuscript, positioned before the references.
Open Access for Journals and Books:

Competing Interests:
The authors should confirm that they have no conflicts of interest to declare.
Additionally, they have no relevant financial or non-financial interests to disclose.
Referees:
Authors are requested to provide the names and email addresses of several potential reviewers. However, the editor retains the exclusive right to decide whether to invite the suggested referees.
Peer Review:
Submissions are initially reviewed by the editors to evaluate their suitability for the journal. If deemed appropriate, the manuscript is typically sent to at least two independent expert reviewers to assess its scientific quality. The editors will make the final decision to accept or reject the submission, and this decision is not subject to appeal.
Decisions:
The Editor's decision is final. Manuscripts previously rejected will not be reconsidered and will be returned to the authors. After acceptance for publication, no further changes to the manuscript will be allowed.
